Student Involvement

1

Student Performances

In my studio, students are encouraged to perform in studio piano recitals, competitions, and festivals. Students are also encouraged to play in assisted living centers and other locations to share their music. Doing so help to motivate students and helps people enjoy the gift of music.

2

Practice Expectations

Students are encouraged to practice regularly, aiming for five days a week for the allotted length of time appropriate for their level of learning. The goal for practice should be quality over quantity. Because of this, even if practice goals are not met each week, students can grow and meaningfully engage with music.

Lesson Calendar

Lessons are organized according to a semester basis. Each year, students are given a calendar with all lessons, holidays, and breaks accounted for.

Make up lessons are scheduled on the last week of each semester.

Families receive a yearly calendar that accounts for all holidays.

Tuition and Billing

Rates are based on 30, 45, and 60-minute lesson times. Alternatively, the semester’s tuition may be paid in full on the first day of the first month of the semester. Any late payments by one week will incur an additional late fee.

Any lessons canceled by the instructor will be made up by the end of the semester.
